We act as the data controller under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). We process your data only for the purposes stated here and only as far as the law permits.

If you use Zovia as a guest, we collect no account data at all. Only when you choose to sign in with Google or Apple do we process:

• Email address and account id (via Firebase Authentication)
• Name and profile info (from your Google or Apple account, if you choose to share it)
• Authentication tokens (to keep your session)

We do not collect data we do not need. We do not collect an advertising id, location, or usage analytics.

• To run the app and deliver its features
• To create your account and keep your session if you choose to sign in
• To meet legal obligations
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse

Firebase Authentication (Google): We use Firebase Authentication to create accounts and sign you in. This stores your user id, email (if any) and session data on Google Cloud infrastructure. When you use guest mode, this service is not engaged.

Sign in with Google: When you choose Sign in with Google, Google authenticates you and provides your basic profile information (name, email, profile photo, Google account id). We use this only to create your account and sign you in. Google's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Sign in with Apple: When you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple authenticates you and passes us a unique user identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email. If you use Hide My Email, we receive a private relay address and never see your real email. Apple's privacy policy applies.

Zovia runs primarily on the device. The sentences you build, your sentence history (the last 30 sentences), your custom buttons, favorites and all settings are stored only on your device. This content is never sent to us and is not kept on our servers. Turkish speech synthesis also runs on your device, offline.

Our app does not show ads.

Zovia is completely free. It contains no in-app purchases, subscriptions or payments.

The authentication services we use (Google, Apple) may store data on servers abroad (USA, EU countries). In those cases we apply the safeguards required by Article 9 of KVKK, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).

We keep account data only while your account exists. When you delete your account, all related personal data is permanently deleted, except data we must retain to meet legal obligations. Content stored on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.

Under Article 11 of KVKK you may learn whether your data is processed, request information about it, request correction, deletion or destruction, learn the third parties to whom it was transferred, and claim compensation for unlawful processing. Send requests to [email protected]; we respond free of charge within 30 days at the latest.

You can delete your account from inside the app or via the web. See the Delete Account page for detailed steps. If you used guest mode you never had an account; uninstalling the app removes your on-device data.

Our app is intended for a general audience and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (16 in the EU). Zovia may be used with children by therapists and caregivers; in that case we recommend using guest mode without creating an account. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child provided us data, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it as soon as possible.

Our company is based in Turkey. For EU users, GDPR rights apply: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. For California (USA) users, CCPA/CPRA rights apply; we do not sell your personal data.

We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes we notify you in-app and revise the effective date. The current version is always published on this page.
